Weekend in Sultan
Sorry, I'm a little bit late posting this! Our family enjoyed a lovely weekend with the rest of our family. It was a weekend to celebrate my parents birthdays which are only a few days apart. It's funny how no matter how old you are you can still expect to get spoiled like your 8 years old again by your own parents, and I hope that never changes! We started the weekend with dad and Aaron going golfing all day friday and the rest of us just enjoying the sunshine. The next day Anders and Crystal joined the party to help with cleaning out the garage, then quickly escaped to the river to cool down. A little later we all decided to go bowling, and if you know my dad at all he jumped onto that opportunity. We all had fun or not (reefer to pictures), with you know who getting the second best score (150) I was feeling a little good about myself. The kids had lots of fun as this was there first trip to the bowling alley but soon found the game room and quickly decided that bowling wasn't going to cut it. Us big kids surprised dad with a gift certificate for a new bowling ball at dinner afterward, and to no one's surprise he was thrilled! All in all it was a great weekend filled with fun and fellowship, it sure was good to have everyone together and hope it happens again soon.

The Mommy Bloppers....
So, I have a good friend (hi Laura!) that has started a mommy blooper post and I decided to write one of the most recent ones I can think of. So a few months ago it was a sunny day (exciting enough) and we didn't have much to do that day, so I thought we could go for a walk to a nearby park with Bar (the dog). So I pack up Sissy in the stroller, the dog, and Bubba rides his bike. Enjoying a little walk to the park with my family, get to the park and start relaxing and playing with my kids. Not 10 minutes later Bubba runs up to me and says, "Mom, I need to go poop!" Now I start thinking to myself, "Uh oh, I forgot to make the kids go potty before leaving and now it's a 15 minute walk back to the house!" So I say to him, "are you sure? We have to go all the way home for you to go poop and we won't come back to the park after." He thinks about i for a while and decides he doesn't really need to go. I sigh in relief and continue playing with the kids, thinking to myself what to do if he has to go again. I check out my surroundings, the park is at a RV park near our house and has a restroom, but it's early spring not camping season, praying if I need it, it will be open. Not 5 minutes later Bubba says, "I have to go poop now or I'm gonna poop my pants!" So I go from relief to total panic instantly, I take him to the restroom praying for my sake it's open, LOCKED!!! Now what do I do!! I do the only thing I can think of and tell my son he's gonna have to poop in the woods. With no other choice I take the kids and dog to the woods, find a log and tell him how to sit on it. Meanwhile, the dog that's still a puppy decides to be wild and start pulling on the leash and Bubba's freaking out. And of course now Sissy decides she needs to go potty too! I deal with the mayhem as best I can, tie up Bar and now have to wipe Bubba. Look around and all I see are rotten leaves, try to find the best one and start wiping. Words can't describe how horrible the next moment was, but Bubba describes it by saying, "This has never happened to me in my whole life, and I don't like it!" After I find some moss to finish the job we head home. So that's my most recent uh oh moment, Let me know if you have any to share.
